The municipality of Knetzgau in the Haßberge district has converted its ageing lighting system to energy-saving LED lighting. The outdated technology was energy-inefficient, and replacing lamps was becoming increasingly difficult. The council and cultural hall, entrance area, and corridors were therefore equipped with modern “ciros” LED pendant luminaires, providing pleasant light while saving around 70 percent energy.

In addition to its high energy savings, the lighting concept also offers a wide range of creative design options. The direct/indirect round ciros luminaire, available in different diameters, was ideal both for the council hall and for the circulation areas. Thanks to its high luminous output, it is suitable for all spatial requirements and also serves as an attractive eye-catcher. For general lighting, it is equipped with a white opal acrylic diffuser and warm white light at 3000 Kelvin. Its indirect light component creates an appealing brightening of the ceiling.
Control via App
The lighting can be easily controlled and dimmed via app using a smartphone or tablet, even by non-specialists — ideal for refurbishment projects, as no additional wiring is required.

The direct and indirect light components can be dimmed separately via DALI. Thanks to wireless Casambi radio control and EnOcean technology, the lighting can be conveniently controlled and dimmed either via app using a tablet or smartphone, or via the switches installed in the room — a smart solution for refurbishment projects, as no additional wiring is required.
